Who are the weeds in our life ?
People who do gardening know very well that, work involved in gardening is so satisfying and the amount of time you need to spend in doing this is relative to the interest you have in the task. Some days you will be merged into to activities that gardening provides, such as weeding and removing unwanted plants from the patch filled with plants that give you results. Then the question is does both the plants that we call as weeds and plants that bear us fruits both have the same rights to be alive on the garden patch. Who are we to remove one and let the others grow just because one gives us the results and other does not give us anything in return.
This questions run deep in my mind who am I to decide the life of a plant based on the result or work it does for me. Is this similar to the society that I live in , where people are befriending you based on the results or benefits they can have from you in their life. When I pull the so called weeds from the soil I always think about the power I have in deciding the life of a plant, and does the people high up in the society who makes rules and rule the land.Do they feel the same when they make decisions for the general public. Do they evaluate the life of people based on the input or fruits we can bear, what happens if they do in that way and decided to pluck the lot that does not give any input into the society.Does that mean the society is only for the people who make results not for people who live or exist.
So when i garden I pluck the weeds and plant them in a different patch I have kept separately for my weeds and I make sure I do the same every time I see a weed. So they you might think it is similar to collecting the individuals who don't provide any input in a cell and let them rot in their, but it is a lot different from that.
Deep on the dark side of my mind I try to find options to not kill or pluck a weed and not always it is possible. Sometimes in the action of doing so I may hurt the soil who knows what the soil likes, does it like the weed that grows in it with no complaint or does it like the plants that give us fruits which needs a lot of help from the soil.
Who knows what the soil need
Weed kills the greed of the gardner
he want more from his land
not a weed that bore no fruit
not a weed that takes a space
but a plant that digs deep into the soil
and takes all the life out
And gives him a fruit
Who knows what the soil need.
May be a weed that lives and let live
