Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform

I have not political motivations or political advances by writing this article, but I reckon it is high time I say what I feel, after viewing all the recent things happening in Australia with regards to the hypocrisy in bringing stranded Australians back.

Group of people stuck overseas, due to their belief in the Australian system and Australian politicians were the greatest mistake anyone has done in their entire life. This is the reaction many give in various groups made by stranded people. And it is true.

IF CRICKETERS FROM OVERSEA COULD FLY IN AND PLAY

IF AUSTRALIAN OPEN PLAYERS CAN BE FLOWN IN

IF MILITARY PERSONALS CAN BE FLOWN IN

then why not people who have been paying tax and have a life left behind on Australian soil, for which they have worked hard.

First and foremost importance should have been given to those people stuck overseas due to the current cap and low flight numbers to major Australian cities.

A final nail in the coffin was, the decision to fly in players for AO, this is not just shameful but straight saying to the people what is the priority for the government and how having friends in the right places can make games possible to happen when the general population cannot be brought back into this country, And in the midst of all these people in Australia are quite , since they think they will be safe and they want to be safe.

Moreover, I need everyone to think, this can happen to you and to anyone in your family, this reaction or inaction government is showing toward the people can happen to anyone, so better late than never we need to stand up and force our politicians to take action and stop running around to conduct games and plays when real people are losing their livelihoods and life.

35k are the ones that have registered with DFAT and therefore the number doesn’t include the probably 10s of thousands that haven’t bothered to register with DFAT because they might not be ready at this point to try to get back to Australia.

List of affected Australians AS LISTED IN Australians Stuck Around the World Facebook group.

  • Expat Australians trying to return home
  • Australian’s that had to leave Australia during the pandemic for family /medical type reasons.
  • Friends and Family of the people in all the groups listed above (they want their loved ones back home!)
  • Expats that are happy and stable living overseas, but need to visit Australia for Medical or Family reasons.

This is not a problem, it is actually a system created by politicians who lack the courage and capability to design and develop solutions to look after their own people. These were the same people who run around the country advancing their political mileage but not taking a single action to bring the people stranded abroad.

LACK OF LOBBYING

No one is ready to stand up and talk for the people who are stuck, no one wants to be seen on their side. Since in the majority of the media and places, it is a bad image and when you say you stand with people stuck overseas the general reaction is why you want to bring the virus back to Australian soil.

But I think it is high time we understand that it is not possible to go like this, we need to embrace what is happening across the world and make changes and advances to adapt to this new condition and it should start by developing a massive effort to bring back that people stuck in different parts to he world by using
